Our Mission
Lee Pesky Learning Center strengthens literacy
(reading, writing, and math) in the community with an emphasis on helping
those with learning disabilities. We achieve our mission by providing
research-based:
•
assessment,
remediation,
and
counseling to individuals and
small groups.
•
consultation and training to schools
and
educators to improve the literacy
of all children.
•
literacy resources (books,
curricula, classes,
tools) to
children, families, and communities.
The Center
also provides classes in social
skills, study skills, and writing workshops.
Our Board
LPLC's board includes a
professor, realtors, philanthropists, CPA's,
lawyers, investment advisor,
business owners and managers,
and advocates.
The board guides and advises the staff on program
opportunities and strategic planning.
