LPLC Consults with Idaho School Districts

Deb Glaser, the Center’s Director of Educational Services, has consulted with four Idaho school districts during the past semester.  A teacher for more than 25 years, Glaser recognized that educators are often pressed for time and short on resources.  She wanted to share the Center’s materials and strategies for instruction, evaluation tools, intervention methodology and research updates with reading teachers.  Glaser met with administration at each school, utilized an evaluation tool, observed and interviewed teachers and students, and reviewed past and current data to create a draft report that outlined the findings and included specific recommendations in each of the areas that were analyzed.

The Lee Pesky Learning Center has built a reputation as being a research oriented and knowledgeable, helpful, and useful resource in the education community.  Consultation services allow us to reach many more individuals than our small physical space can hold.  We will continue to build and improve this service as time passes.
