Counseling

Many students benefit from participating in support services as part of their remediation program. Thirty to sixty minute sessions can be scheduled flexibly around remediation as often as necessary.

  • Coaching. Students who learn differently often have questions about how they learn. Coaching” teaches students about learning, how to cope with learning differently, and how to advocate for themselves. These services may be especially beneficial for students with ADD/ADHD.

  • Counseling. If serious emotional issues are adversely impacting the learning process, the Center may meet those needs by offering individual and family counseling or by making appropriate community referrals. When the emotional needs of students are addressed, they become better able to grow academically. Counseling can be individual or include the family.
