Evelyn is both executive director of Lee Pesky Learning Center and Professor of Special Education at Boise State University. She began working with students with disabilities in 1994, as a teacher at the high school and middle school levels. She completed her doctoral studies at the University of Washington, Seattle, where she focused her work on ensuring access to accommodations and alternate testing for students with disabilities. In 2003, she moved to Kansas and worked as a Research Associate for the National Research Center on Learning Disabilities (NRCLD) at the University of Kansas. She moved to Boise in 2007 with her husband and their two children. Evelyn is committed to building Idaho’s capacity to provide a high quality education for every child with a learning disability.
