Counselor

A counselor at Lee Pesky Learning Center provides counseling services in the Clinical Department working in cooperation with the Lead Counselor, Services Director, and other staff members to support an integrated service delivery system for the Center’s clients. Job functions include delivery of short-term, cognitive-behavioral therapy to individuals ages 5 to adult, maintaining accurate and timely progress and chart notes, and scoring/interpreting measures of self-regulation. This position also entails participation in research and other special projects as assigned.

The ideal applicant holds a master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a related field and is license-eligible in the State of Idaho. All applicants must have experience working in an educational or clinical situation interviewing clients, delivering short-term, cognitive-behavioral therapy and interpreting self-report measures. Applicant must have excellent oral/written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and have good problem-solving capabilities.
