Lead Educational Specialist
The Lead Educational Specialist works directly with students who learn differently using individually designed programs of instruction which utilize research-proven methods. The Lead Educational Specialist works in cooperation with other Client Services staff to support an integrated service delivery system and trains and mentors Education Specialists. The Lead Educational Specialist is responsible for educational testing, planning intervention session, documenting student progress, communicating with parents and school, personnel, and maintaining computer skills necessary to complete Center tasks.
Applicants must hold at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in education. A Master’s degree in special education is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with students with or at risk for learning disabilities and be current in approaches to individualized instruction and intervention in reading, writing, and/or mathematics. Applicants must also have excellent oral/written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and basic computer skills.
