Learning evaluations are an important first step in creating successful outcomes for struggling students.
Evaluations allow us to create an individualized learning profile for each student in three key areas:
Testing typically takes 4-6 hours to complete in 2-3 visits and is administered by our professional staff, which includes clinical psychologists, school psychologists, special education teachers, and social workers.
Each student receives a detailed report, and we provide recommendations on next steps, including:
- Skill building in specific areas of need
- Strategies to help each student learn more effectively
- Strategies for building confidence, self-esteem, and self-advocacy skills
- Accommodations for additional support at home and school
We offer financial assistance for evaluation and intervention services based on financial need and availability of funds.
In some circumstances, insurance may partially cover evaluation costs, depending on diagnosis and your policy. We will provide you with the information you need to file claims with your insurance company.
LPLC Educational Specialists work one-on-one to develop academic skills through individualized instruction designed to meet the needs of each student.
Although results may vary based on needs, most students see academic improvement after a program of 70 intervention hours.
Managing time, keeping track of assignments, and resisting distractions are just some of the self-regulation challenges that students face. With Academic Coaching, students build the skills they need to manage their schoolwork successfully. We help students with:
• Time Management
• Test Preparation
• Project Management
