    • Strategies to help each student learn more effectively
    • Strategies for building confidence, self-esteem, and self-advocacy skills

    Counseling

We strive to help students become self-regulated learners. We work with our clients to improve self-regulation of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may impact academic performance. Our counseling services increase social skills and confidence to support academic success. LPLC Counseling can help students:

    • Cope with stress
    • Build self-esteem
    • Improve social relations
    • Increase self-advocacy

Our approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy constructs and tools, as well as brain-based, neurologically-informed model for helping individuals understand how they think, feel, and behave. We use this lens to help clients become more self-regulated in their learning, capable in their world, and confident in themselves.
