    Commitments

Create a pathway to learning for every child at LPLC

We provide 1:1 psycho-educational evaluations, academic and counseling interventions through our innovative approach called The Pesky Way. Our model of service delivery is comprehensive, and recognizes the unique constellation of skills, interests and abilities that each child brings to the learning process.

Advance research in the field of learning disabilities

When professionals understand why the learning process breaks down, they can better understand how to meet every child’s learning needs. At LPLC, researchers and teachers work together, learn from one other, and collaborate to develop instructional tools that advance our knowledge base and improve our understanding of the underlying neurocognitive, psychosocial and environmental factors that impact learning.

Train the next generation of practitioners

Lee Pesky Learning Center (LPLC) provides opportunities for students (undergraduate through post doc) to learn ‘The Pesky Way’, an approach developed by LPLC, through hands on experience under the guidance of our highly trained staff. Our training programs prepare future practitioners to provide high-quality individualized evaluation, academic and counseling support, effectively preparing them to excel in their respective fields, including: Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Counseling, and Education research.

    Forge and nurture strong partnerships

Strong partnerships are a cornerstone of our mission and vision. We are committed to forging and sustaining strong relationships with schools and other organizations that serve families to ensure children receive comprehensive support that fosters lifelong learning and opportunities.
