Cynthia Murphy currently serves on the Boards of the Wood River Community YMCA and St. Luke’s Hospital where she has served as board chair for both organizations. She is also on the Board of The Nature Conservancy and the National YMCA Membership Committee. She was born and raised in Idaho, and attended the University of Utah earning a BS in Business, Biology, and Education. She started her career as a systems analyst for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company in San Francisco and became the executive in charge of systems development. She and her husband started C-HOP, Inc., which is an international business consulting company with focus on China. She moved to Ketchum in 1991 with her husband and son.
