Mario Pile, Project Director for Veterans Upward Bound at Boise State University, is passionate about improving education for underserved students. Prior to his role at Boise State, Mario worked at the Idaho Youth Ranch. Mario joined the Air Force in 2002, which eventually brought him to Idaho in the summer of 2006. He has served a total of 19 years in the military; 6 years active duty and 13 years in the Idaho Air National Guard. Mario earned a degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University and is currently working on his master’s in Educational Leadership.
