Maureen O'Toole, MA

Executive Director

Maureen brings over 20 years of educational experience in traditional and nontraditional roles including serving as an Idaho public school teacher and administrator of a military school. She also has extensive experience in the nonprofit world having served as a nonprofit CEO, VP, and Founder.

Maureen possesses Bachelor degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Bilingual Elementary Education and a Master’s of Organizational Leadership as well as the military equivalent of a Master’s degree in strategic analysis and planning.  She served in the U.S. Army, National Guard, and Army Reserves for 26 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Most of her career was in intelligence analyzing people, organizations, and groups to predict behavior. During military service, Maureen also served as instructor, journalist, Public Affairs officer, operations and training officer, and twice as a unit commander (CEO equivalent). After retiring from the military, she continued in Servant Leader roles as an Idaho K-12 public school teacher, private Math tutor, CEO of Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council, Founder the Idaho STEM Action Foundation, and as the Vice President of the Youth Apprenticeship Program for Idaho Business for Education, a statewide, multi-agency collaboration to engage Idaho youth in local, good-paying careers. Her vocation is providing children, youth, and young adults with education and training that leads to positive, powerful lives. Maureen loves to be outside walking, jogging, playing pickle ball, and gardening. Maureen and husband Marty have been married 31 years, with 3 grown children, and one fabulous granddaughter.
