This one-credit course is available through video conferencing or as an in-person class
The purpose of this course is to strengthen your content knowledge of current writing instructional practices. Each research-based instructional strategy is tied directly to the writing standards and can be used with your district-adopted reading program, as well as other content areas. Teachers will learn how to scaffold each strategy to meet the needs of diverse writing abilities and teach the writing standards with confidence! Coaches, teachers, para-professionals and administrators who work with students in the intermediate grades will find this class to be a valuable resource.

We need a minimum of 10 participants to deliver this class via video conferencing and can break it into any time configurations that work for the group. One credit available through NNU for an additional $60, total time 15 clock hours.
