The purpose of this course is to strengthen your content knowledge of current writing instructional practices. Each research-based instructional strategy is tied directly to the writing standards and can be used with your district-adopted reading program, as well as other content areas. Teachers will learn how to scaffold each strategy to meet the needs of diverse writing abilities and teach the writing standards with confidence! Coaches, teachers, para-professionals and administrators who work with students just learning to read and write will find this class to be a valuable resource.

One credit available through NNU for an additional $60, total time= 15 clock hours.
