Diane Boothe

Diane Boothe is Professor and Dean Emerita at Boise State University, where she served as Dean of the College of Education from 2005 to 2014. Prior to that, she was Department Chair of Curriculum and Instruction and Professor at the University of West Georgia.

Throughout her career, Diane has been a champion for educational innovation, working to design and implement programs and policies that drive positive change. She is known for building collaborative partnerships and fostering strong relationships with communities, schools, and agencies. Her professional experience includes serving on numerous boards, such as the Advisory Council for the Learning Lab literacy education center and the Cascade Medical Foundation board, as well as working as a bilingual teacher and as an elementary and middle school principal.

Diane’s contributions to education have been recognized nationally and internationally. She is the recipient of the Fulbright International Administrators Award to France, has delivered keynote and plenary addresses at conferences worldwide, and coauthored In the Eyes of the Beholder: Critical Issues for Diversity in Gifted Education. She holds a doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, has served as president of Georgia Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), chair of the Higher Education Interest Section for TESOL International, and editor of the TESOL in Action Journal for ten years.
