Summer Bridge
Building Skills and Confidence for the Year Ahead
- Lee Pesky Learning Center’s Summer Bridge program helps elementary students (especially multilingual learners) strengthen reading skills and start the school year ready to succeed. Through small-group, research-based instruction, students build phonics, fluency, and comprehension while gaining confidence.
- In just a few weeks, students make measurable progress, supported by targeted assessments that track growth and ensure meaningful results.
More than a summer program, Summer Bridge is a pathway to success, helping students rediscover the joy of learning and return to school ready to thrive.

Research
In partnership with Boise State University, Lee Pesky Learning Center contributed to the RESET project, an initiative focused on improving instruction for students with learning disabilities. Led by Dr. Evelyn Johnson, the project developed validated observation and feedback tools to help special education teachers deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction.
Through this work, educators gain better support, training, and evaluation methods, ultimately improving outcomes for students with disabilities and driving long-term change in special education systems.
