This event is powered by a Peer-to-Peer fundraising campaign, which means everyone has the chance to make a direct impact by sharing our mission with their networks.
Here’s how it works:
-
Create Your Own Fundraising Page:
It’s simple! Head to LPLC Virtual 5K Page and click the “I want to fundraise for this” button in the top right corner. This will allow you to create your personal fundraising page, which you can customize with your own story, photos, and fundraising goals. -
Share and Spread the Word:
Once your page is set up, share it with your friends, family, colleagues, and anyone who might want to support LPLC. The beauty of a peer-to-peer campaign is that each individual fundraiser helps expand our reach and increases the chances of raising more funds. Social media, emails, and personal invites are all great ways to get the word out! -
Raise $250 or More and Receive a Special LPLC Race Kit:
As a fun incentive, if you raise $250 or more, you’ll receive a special LPLC Race Kit filled with awesome goodies. It’s a great way to engage your network and earn some LPLC swag! -
Walk or Run a 5k at your own pace on your own schedule! Share your adventure on social media or with friends and family to help spread the word!
Why Peer-to-Peer Campaigns Matter:
Peer-to-peer fundraising is one of the most powerful tools for raising awareness and funds because it multiplies our efforts. Instead of relying on one central fundraiser, we have the strength of our whole community spreading the word and connecting us to new supporters. Each participant’s network opens up new opportunities for people to learn about our work and contribute to LPLC’s mission.
How to Participate:
- Sign Up: Head to our event page, create your own fundraiser, and personalize it with why you support LPLC.
- Run or Walk Your 5K: Complete your 5K at your own pace, whether it’s in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, or at your favorite park.
- Share Your Journey: Don’t forget to share photos of your race on social media with the hashtag #LPLCVirtual5K and tag us @LeePesky.
