Idaho’s outstanding teachers have been honored annually since the Pesky Award for Inspirational Teaching (PAIT) was first established in 2011 by Lee Pesky Learning Center’s Co-founders, Alan and Wendy Pesky. In partnership with Boise State’s College of Education, PAIT recognizes inspirational K-12 teachers who make a difference in the lives of their students through passion and caring.
This year’s PAIT award recipients were announced on December 7, 2023. Recipients include Shannon Nicholson, a sixth grade teacher at Grace Jordan Elementary in Boise, and Sarah Wang, an English Language Specialist for grades 1-3 at Endeavor Elementary in Nampa. This year’s PAIT award winners will receive recognition at Boise State’s commencement on December 16th including a $2,000 award for each honoree and $500 to their respective school.
